Throughout this retreat, Phyllis will share her expertise using Studio 180 Design’s Square Squared®, Corner Beam®, and V-Block® tools, helping quilters build confidence while creating accurate, professional-looking units. Whether you’re already familiar with Studio 180 Design techniques or looking to expand your skills, you’ll receive step-by-step instruction in a fun, supportive environment.

One of the most exciting aspects of Nautical Dreams is watching the design come to life through fabric and color choices. Participants will learn how color placement influences the movement and visual impact of the quilt while mastering several versatile units that can be applied to future quilting projects.

Skill Level

Confident Beginner to Intermediate

Participants should be comfortable with basic rotary cutting, sewing accurate seams, and following a quilt pattern. Prior experience with Studio 180 Design tools is helpful but not required. Phyllis will provide instruction and guidance throughout the retreat.

Techniques You’ll Learn

• Precision piecing using Studio 180 Design tools
• Constructing V-Block®, Corner Beam®, and Square Squared® units
• Fabric and color placement strategies
• Oversized construction and precision trimming techniques
• Building complex-looking blocks with confidence and accuracy

• Basic quilting supplies (rotary cutter, ruler, mat, sewing machine, etc.)
