Make A Knocker – Knitted Knockers Day Class
With Kim Pierce, Certified Knitting Instructor
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In honor of this we are hosting a knitting charity event.
Join us in giving back!
Give back through your craft in this meaningful day class designed to make a difference. Together we’ll create Knitted Knockers—soft, comfortable, and lightweight breast prosthetics provided free of charge to women who have undergone mastectomies.
Under the guidance of Kim Pierce, a Certified Knitting Instructor, you’ll learn how to make knockers using approved patterns and yarns from knittedknockers.org. Kim will walk you step-by-step through Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) – including the Bottoms Up Knocker, an easier start with beautiful results
You’ll discover tips for shaping, finishing, and choosing the right yarns so your knockers are ready to bless someone in need. All sizes and colors are welcome, but neutral shades and matching pairs are most requested.
🍲 During the day, enjoy a delicious lunch of soup, salad, and dessert while connecting with fellow makers who share your heart for service.
Whether you’re an experienced knitter or just beginning (must have basic knitting skills including purling), you’ll leave with the skills (and at least one finished or in-progress knocker) to continue making these life-changing gifts long after class ends.
✨ Join us at Hidden Falls Farm to stitch with purpose and bring comfort, confidence, and love to women around the world.
