Location: Hidden Falls Farm Retreat • Nancy, Kentucky
Many quilters feel uncertain when it comes to choosing colors and fabrics — and you’re not alone! Certified Color Confidence Instructor Alesia Willet understands how intimidating color selection can feel. Whether you tend to stick with the same few colors, rely on kits or fabric collections, or simply don’t trust your “eye for color,” this class will help you break free from color ruts and gain lasting confidence in your choices.
Alesia believes that color sense isn’t something you’re born with — it’s something you can develop! In this hands-on workshop, she takes the mystery out of selecting fabric palettes through simple, practical lessons in color theory. You’ll learn clear “color formulas,” how to mix patterns effectively, and how to draw inspiration from art and nature to create your own unique color story. Through fun, quilting-specific exercises, you’ll begin to see color in a whole new way — understanding hue, harmony, and balance while discovering what truly draws you in.
Much like a chef who learns to season by taste, quilters develop intuition for color through practice and exploration. In this class, you’ll strengthen that intuition and train your eye to build beautiful, balanced palettes with confidence. Whether you’re new to the color wheel or looking to stretch your creative comfort zone, Alesia’s encouraging teaching style makes learning color approachable, fun, and inspiring.
Join us at Hidden Falls Farm Retreat for a weekend of creativity, community, and color exploration — and leave ready to bring new confidence and vibrancy to every quilt you create!
