October 8 - 12, 2025
Design, Piece & Master the Magic of Color and Precision
Featuring the “Alaska” pattern by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts
Led by Toni Raynolds, Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor
Step into a workshop that brings geometry, color, and creativity together in one striking design. The Alaska quilt by Edyta Sitar is known for its dramatic symmetry, layered motion, and stunning interplay of primary and secondary patterns. And now, you can make it your own—with confidence, clarity, and expert guidance.
This workshop goes beyond simply following a pattern. With Toni’s help, you’ll explore how color selection and placement shape the entire feel of your quilt. Whether you’re dreaming in earth tones, brights, or batiks, you’ll learn how to make your version of Alaska sing.
Even better? You can skip the traditional templates. Toni will teach you how to use Studio 180 Design’s Wedge Star™ tool to accurately cut and piece the angled units that make this quilt so eye-catching—no paper piecing or fussy templates required.
Want to make it truly your own? Toni offers her uniquely designed dragonfly and butterfly motifs, created to blend seamlessly with the Alaska layout. These additions bring a fresh twist to the traditional design, adding visual depth that showcase the power of thoughtful color play and placement.
To help you get the most from your time at the retreat, you’ll also receive a personal pre-workshop consultation (scheduled 2–4 weeks in advance) to finalize your quilt size and color layout. That way, you’ll arrive prepped, confident, and ready to dive right in!
